The newly codified land-based robot platforms support cargo transportation, reconnaissance and casualty removal.
Mykhailo Federorov, Ukraine’s Minister for Digital Transformation, announced on 6 November 2024 that four Brave1 land drones would be used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. These multifunctional land robotic platforms, codified in the Defense Ministry, are expected to operate on the frontlines, supporting logistics, reconnaissance, evacuation and possibly combat tasks.
Drone warfare has become a key element of the ongoing Russo Ukrainian war. Unmanned vehicles, of all sizes, that operate in the air, on ground, and at sea play a key role. Technology is rapidly advancing.
Ukraine’s Brave1 Defense Tech Development Support Cluster is a government-established “united coordinational platform for Defense Tech,” fostering collaboration in the defense tech industry, offering organizational, informational, and financial support for national defense projects. Fedorov claims that Brave1 supported the codification and development of 220 defense systems. This has attracted $25 million in foreign investments for Ukrainian tech innovators.
