The drone attack injured three civilians. Additional Russian bomb and artillery attacks injured two other civilians and killed a female.
In the early hours of 7 November, Russia launched a massive drone attack against Ukraine using Iranian-designed Shahed long range explosive drones, aerial decoys, and aerial decoys to penetrate Ukraine’s defenses. According to local authorities, the assault injured at least 3 civilians in Kyiv and Odesa. Other Russian attacks in Sumy and Donetsk Oblasts killed at least one civilian, and injured two others.
Russia continues to launch deliberate daily air strikes on residential areas, in an attempt to terrorize civilians. Every night, the Russian forces launch dozens – usually Iranian designed – Shahed 131 and 136 long-range “kamikaze drones. They also often launch several missiles.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported on Russian forces launching 106 unidentified UAVs and Shahed-type strike drones in the direction of Kursk, Primorsko Akhtarsk and Orel, Russia, as well temporarily occupied Crimea. The report states that 74 Russian drones have been confirmed downed as of 12:00. An additional 25 drones are “locationally lost,” which means they have disappeared from radar or may have crashed.
According to the figures, at least seven drones may have reached their target or remained in flight at the time of reporting. According to Ukrainian airspace monitoring channels, at least one Russian aircraft was still airborne as of 12:42.
