Amiran Gamkrelidze is the head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health. He said that 6705 people had registered for the injections of Chinese “Sinopharm” vaccine.
Gamkrelidze explains how 50 thousand people are eligible to register for the Chinese ‘Sinopharm’vaccine at the first stage.
“There were 6705 bookings made for this morning. We have 100 000 doses to be repeated twice. Registration is open to 50 thousand people. Gamkrelidze said, “We will discuss how to increase access.”
He said that the demand for the ‘Sinopharm vaccine‘ is quite high.
“The demand is high. 6705 people registered all at once is not an insignificant number, especially when you consider that they do not yet have enough information. Gamkrelidze, InterPressNews, said that at this stage 50 thousand people are able to register for free.
Ekaterine Tikaradze, Minister of Health for Georgia, announced yesterday that citizens over 18 years old will be included in the vaccination process using ‘Sinopharm’.
She said that there are several important studies that show Sinopharm to be a safe vaccine in the age range of 18-60.
The data available on the portal -https: //booking.moh.gov.ge/Hmis/Hmis.Queue.Web/#/register shows that all the available places for the vaccine ‘Sinopharm’ in Tbilisi have been reserved.
