“In February 2023 the European Commission plans to begin the assessment of Georgia’s progress in compliance with EU recommendations. In this regard, I reserve the hope that, given the tangible results already achieved, the positive sectoral reports of the European Commission, published on February 3, and the events planned for the EU Integration, the efforts made by Georgia will be valued this time and the EU will grant the status of EU candidate country. The priorities of the 2023 parliamentary agenda are our continued progress on the EU integration pathway, the capacity building of Parliament, and the facilitation of security and socio-economic growth of Georgia. I hope that, through cooperation, we can make significant progress in enhancing the peaceful, economic strong, stable, and European future of Georgia,” said the Speaker.
