“This was a great opportunity to discuss many of the topics on our agenda with Prime Minister Garibashvili. We are already working with the Government on a number of issues of importance, including the COVID response, and the rollout. We hope that will get vaccinated. In the United States, we have had great success. Over 55% adult population of the United States is now vaccinated. My teens and I have both been vaccinated. We see that this is how we can reopen economies, reopen schools, and bring life back to normal. It was a pleasure to speak with the Prime Minister on this subject. We also discussed the security agenda, and many other issues that we are working on. Hamilton, a coast guard cutter, is visiting Batumi. I will be there tomorrow for a ship visit. We are always thrilled when ships can visit Georgia. They love to come to Georgia. I’m looking forward to welcoming CGC Hamilton on Wednesday. They have been training with the Georgian Coast Guard. I am very impressed by what the Georgian Coast Guard can do, its level of capabilities, and its professionalism. Kelly Degnan, after her meeting with Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, said that she was delighted to continue working with Georgia in the security sector.
