After the third consecutive Russian drone attack on Odesa, the authorities reported one death, 13 injuries, as well as damage to residential complexes and warehouses.
Local authorities report that Russian forces launched a drone attack overnight on Odesa on 9 November. The attack caused damage to several buildings and a fire at a residential complex.
One person was killed and 13 injured in a Russian attack, including two boys aged four and sixteen.
Oleksandr Filatov, the mayor of Odesa, said that the debris caused by the attack had damaged a residential compound and broken windows and doors. He also said that a warehouse and an administrative building had been damaged. No injuries were reported.
According to Odesa City Council the attack damaged several high rise buildings, private sector homes, and vehicles.
The local news outlet Dumska announced “a severe fire” in one of the complexes.
Residents confirmed the information to Suspilne, Ukraine’s public radio broadcaster.
Filatov said that the city will deploy a operational headquarters in order to assist residents at strike locations.
The Russian military regularly targets Ukrainian oblasts using various types of weapons, including strike UAVs and missiles. They also use CABs and MLRS. Russia’s leadership denies the Russian army conducts targeted attacks during a full scale war on the civilian infrastructure in Ukrainian cities and villages. This includes killing civilians, destroying schools, kindergartens and energy and water supply installations, as well as hospitals and schools.
