A peaceful revolution is indeed possible. The German Embassy in Georgia announced that the fall of the Berlin Wall was an example.
The statement mentions it takes a fight to achieve freedom.
“For decades, Germany’s Democratic Republic held its citizens in a system based on violence and oppression. The GDR citizens, who showed their courage and desire for freedom and to be able to decide their own fate, succeeded in destroying the Berlin Wall. Together with the people of Central & Eastern Europe, the GDR citizens created the foundation for the reunification of Germany and a free and united Europe. It is still true today: Freedom does not come to us by itself. We have to fight for this freedom – here and around world, it was the same then, and it’s the same today.”
