The facility is of particular importance to Russia’s military capabilities during the war in Ukraine. It reportedly produces a significant portion of the gunpowder that is used in Russian artillery ammo.
The Russian Defense claimed that it shot down 50 Ukrainian UAVs across seven oblasts in the night. This included 28 in Oblast and 12 in . There were also two each in Smolensk, Tula and Smolensk.
