Forbes reports that Ukraine has developed a new First-Person-View attack drone Khyzhak Reboff, which uses fiber optic cable as a communication medium, making it immune from electronic warfare (EW jamming). The drone’s title translates as “Predator-EW-off.”
The fiber-optic FPV is designed to address the jamming radio signals, which is one of the biggest challenges drone operators face on the battlefield. Drone warfare innovation has become a defining characteristic of the ongoing Russo Ukrainian war. Unmanned vehicles, of all sizes, that operate in the air, land, and sea, play a key role. Technology is rapidly advancing on both sides.
