Axios reported that Elon Musk, the business tycoon, was the phone during a recent call between U.S. President elect Donald Trump and President Volodymyr Zelensky. The report cited unnamed sources who were familiar with the situation.

The Wall Street Journal reported late October that Musk had been in regular communication with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and other Kremlin official since late 2022. Musk had previously denied having any sympathies with Moscow, and claimed that he only spoke with Putin once in April 2021 on space-related issues.
