BBC: Trump advisor demands “realistic peace vision” from Ukraine and says “Crimea has gone”

He considers such concessions to be unacceptable and a danger to Ukraine’s independence and sovereignty. This stance is rooted firmly in Ukraine’s desire to achieve a just peace rather than a temporary truce that could allow Russia regroup and continue their aggression.
BBC reports that according to Lanza, Donald Trump’s new administration will ask to present “a realistic vision for peace”.
The advisor made it clear that – annexed by Russia and occupied in 2014 – would not be included in negotiations. “Crimea has gone,” he said to the BBC World Service Weekend programme.

The Trump advisor stressed that if Ukraine insists upon regaining Crimea in order to achieve peace, “you are on your own.”
