Ukraine’s military: Russia’s deadliest day in invasion since the start

According to figures released on November 11, the Russian losses in Ukraine have reached a daily record high of 1,770.
The previous record of 1,740 was set on May 13.
According to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces (GAFU), Russia’s total casualties currently stand at 710 660.
The figures do include dead, wounded and missing. These figures are in line with those of Western nations.
Western officials claim that was the most difficult month for Russian forces. While the Kremlin doesn’t announce the number killed and injured, they do report the total.
The reported on Nov. 10 that the number of Russian troops killed and injured last month was 1,500 “every day”. This is according to Admiral Anthony Radakin, Chief Admiral of the U.K. Defence Staff.
This figure is higher than that of the U.K. Defence John Healey who told The Telegraph in November 8 that Russia had suffered 41,980 deaths and injuries during October, a daily average 1,354.
Some experts believe that the recent surge in losses may be a factor in the deployment of North Korean forces to Russia.
Radakin, a BBC reporter, said that Russia sacrifices large numbers of troops to gain “tiny bits of land”. He added that Russia was making “tactical territorial gains” and “putting pressure on Ukraine,” despite a heavy offensive.
While Russian forces suffer record losses, they are also making rapid gains in the east Ukraine.
According to a Bloomberg report published on November 1, Ukraine has lost 1146 square kilometers since the start of the Kursk Oblast invasion in early August. The week ending Nov. 1 was reported as the worst for lost territory in 2024.
On Nov. 2, Commander in Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that Ukraine was facing ‘one of the most powerful’ Russian offensives since it began the war.
Over the past few months, Russian forces have made significant gains in their operations near Toretsk and Chasiv Yar as well as Kupiansk. They have also gained ground on their own territory in Kursk Oblast.
This includes 1,770 casualties that Russian forces have suffered in the last day.
Governor Ivan said that eight people, including a four-year-old child, were hospitalized. The attack hit an apartment building and dormitory in the city.
The blackouts started when the Air Force issued an aerial alert for all of the country after Russia launched MiG-31K aircraft, which can carry Kinzhal missiles.

One source familiar with the conversation said that during the call from Trump’s Florida resort, the President- told Putin not to escalate tensions in Ukraine, and emphasized Washington’s significant military presence throughout Europe.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that on November 10, Russian air defense destroyed 70 Ukrainian drones including 34 in Moscow Oblast in the largest drone attack against the Russian capital.
