Russian forces have increased their use Iranian-made Shahed Drones in attacks against Ukrainian cities. A record 2,023 Drones were launched in October 2024. Russian drones deliberately target civilian infrastructure and noncombatants to instill psychological terror and disrupt daily life among the Ukrainian people. This escalation raises concerns over future mass missile attacks as Russia appears stockpiling missiles in preparation for large-scale assaults that could occur during the colder months.
The attack took place around 1:50 in the morning, and targeted residential areas. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that a 45-year-old female was hospitalized and 22 people needed psychological assistance on the scene.
