UN Women Georgia is continuing its efforts to improve women’s political representation with a new initiative, the Women’s Leadership Academy. The Women’s Leadership Academy, created in collaboration with the Eastern European Center for Multiparty Democracy (EECMD), offers an intensive training program for women interested in politics and making decisions. The course will provide participants with expertise in areas like democracy, advocacy and gender equality, as well as media relations, political communication and cyber security. Participants will also gain hands-on experience on debate and campaign strategies.
The academy is part of the initiative ‘Women’s Increased Leadership for Democracy in Georgia’, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
