I am confident that our partners will understand that similar interventions, biased attitudes and disrespect that we see and hear are unacceptable to us – said Ilia Darchiashvili, the head of the Foreign Ministry of Georgia.
Ilia Darchiashvili said that partners must listen to and share all of the challenges our country faces.
“I have heard the statement made by the Speaker of Parliament [regarding a visit of European MPs]… and I agree with his pathos. We understand partnership as a relationship where our partners listen to and share the challenges our country faces and the reasons for adopting these legal regulations. Ilia Darchiashvili said, “I am confident that our partners will understand that similar type interventions, similar type bias attitude and disrespect that we see and hear are unacceptable for us”.
The Minister noted that Georgia, and the government of the country, are always open to constructive dialogue.
“I’m sure that sooner than later, those who interfer in the internal affairs in such an undiplomatic manner will realize that this is not a form of relationship that can be accepted. I would like to reiterate that we are always open to a constructive, non-biased dialogue. In this way, we always express a desire to have an open and honest dialogue with our partners,” said the minister.
Ilia Darchiashvili noted that Georgia has many partners ready to listen to arguments.
The head of the Foreign Ministry explained that “this is the path which will lead us to a point where, with our partners we will promote the strategy of mutual strategic interest, which will benefit everyone.”
