The West has never stood so firmly on our side. Never has the goal so clearly been defined. Not to accept lies, not accept the falsification that they use to bring our future, yours, and our children, to Putin. This is what the fourth president of Georgia Giorgi Marvelashvili said to the rally participants at Rustaveli Ave.
He thanked his Western partners for their support.
Margvelashvili says that we must understand that the dismantling and transformation of Georgia to a Russian province will not be a two or three day struggle. It is a resistance that will take all of our energy, patience, and strength.
“We are at a very difficult beginning, and it is important to understand how to fight correctly for the return to freedom. We must realize that the dismantling and transformation of Georgia from a Soviet province is not something we can do in two or three days. It will take all of our energy, patience and strength to fight this resistance, but the opening of the struggle is very good. This is important, because you all remember which number was painted. They remember it wasn’t the “Georgian Dream” and this sense of truth was very important for the opposition to be able form an effective resistance. I have never said that it was easy.
The West has never stood so firmly by us. It has never been more clear that the goal is to not accept the lies and falsifications with which they must bring our future, yours and our children’s, to Putin. We have never had a stronger West on our side. The proof is that our friends are walking to join us and you, as well as the spirit of the entire free world. Free people have dignity and this dignity unites all of us. Margvelashvili stated, “I thank them once again for their support.”
