**France Urges Caution on Trump‘s Ukraine Policy**
France’s Foreign Minister, Jean-Noel Barrot, has warned against judging Donald Trump‘s policies in Ukraine too quickly. Speaking at the Paris Peace Forum on November 11, Barrot said that Trump’s administration should be given time to establish its positions and initiatives.
**Trump’s Approach to Ukraine**
Trump has focused on achieving quick results in Ukraine, rather than long-term support. He has also avoided committing to a Ukrainian victory over Russia. In fact, he has suggested that ending the war in 24 hours might involve Ukraine ceding territory to Russia.
**Support for Ukraine**
Barrot emphasized that Kyiv’s Western allies must do everything possible to ensure that Ukraine enters any future peace negotiations from a strong position. He also warned against letting Russia impose its will on Ukraine.
**Leaders Meet in Paris**
British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron met in Paris, where they discussed ways to support Ukraine. The two leaders released a statement emphasizing their determination to support Ukraine “unwaveringly” until the Russian war of aggression is stopped.
**Poland Joins Efforts**
Polish Premier Donald Tusk announced plans to meet with British Prime Minister Starmer and NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte in the coming days. Poland aims to build an alliance to continue helping Ukraine after Trump takes office in 2025.
