The United States condemned the violent attacks that took place in on September 21, which appeared be politically motivated.
According to the statement issued by the embassy this, along numerous reports of intimidation and pressure against and supporters throughout the nation, raises serious questions about the commitment of the government to safe and fair pre-election process and a democracy election process.

On September 21, two activists of the opposition were injured in Dmanisi’s village of Gantiadi. The Ministry of Internal Affairs detained Davit Dautashvili. He is the son of Georgian Dream’s majoritarian candidate.
