According to the decision of Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili, Georgian rescue teams went to Turkey to take part in the rescue efforts following the Monday earthquake that ravaged the Turkish Republic and Syria.
Georgia’s neighbor has also received the appropriate machinery.
The Emergency Situations Management Agency of Ministry of Internal Affairs sent 60 firefighters and rescue equipment to Turkey to help with the aftermath of the devastating earthquake.
The Georgian team of firefighters and emergency rescuers that left for Turkey is made up of firefighters and emergency rescuers who are trained to work in post-earthquake rescue operations.
Vakhtang Gomelauri sent a condolence letter on behalf of his ministry to Suleyman Soylu who is the Minister of Interior of Turkey. He expressed his sadness over the natural catastrophe.
