**Russian Attacks on Ukraine‘s Zaporizhzhia Region Expected to Happen Soon**
Ukraine’s military is preparing for a possible Russian attack on the Zaporizhzhia region. Vladyslav Voloshyn, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian Southern Command, told Reuters that the attacks could happen “any day.”
**Russian Troops Renew Offensive in South**
In early October, it was reported that Russian troops had renewed their offensive in the Zaporizhzhia region. Ukraine’s government warned of a possible push by Moscow’s forces in the south.
**Russia Sending Trained Groups to Advance**
Voloshyn said that Russia is sending trained assault groups into Zaporizhzhia Oblast to advance. He added that they are preparing for an attack and expect it to happen at any time, not just weeks from now.
**Russian Plans Unveiled**
According to Voloshyn, Russia plans to use armored cars and a large number of drones in the offensive. It is still unclear whether this would be a single major push or separate attacks. The spokesperson added that Russia is preparing both light vehicles and armored groups for the operation.
