Russia Attacks Ukraine with and Missiles

Russian forces launched a series of air attacks on Ukrainian cities overnight. The attacks included drones, missiles, and bombs.

According to reports from Ukraine’s Air Force and regional , the Russian forces used 110 Shahed drones and other types of drones along with guided missiles and bombs. The attacks were reported in several regions, including Kyiv and Kharkiv.

The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that their intercepted and destroyed 46 drones in various regions. Another 60 drones crashed to the ground, and two left Ukrainian airspace and headed towards Belarus.

Russia also launched two surface-to-surface missiles from Russia’s Oblast to Oblast. The Air Force reported that guided air bombs were dropped in Sumy and .

The attacks caused at least 11 people to be injured. One person was killed in when a residential area was hit by Russian bombs.

Sumy Oblast officials reported that their region is being bombarded with an average of 30 guided drones and 40 bombs. The latest attacks caused severe infrastructure damage and injured six people.

The Ukrainian Air Force said they do not have the means to shoot down a type of guided bomb used by Russia, known as KAB. They also do not have a Patriot battery that can destroy S-300 missiles.

Air raid alerts were issued in several regions following the attacks.
