**Police Blockade in Rioni Valley Continues**
Protests against the Namakhvani HPP (Hydroelectric Power Plant) are still going on. The latest rally took place near Enka Renewables warehouse, close to Kutaisi.
The government couldn’t agree with protesters and address their concerns. In response, police set up checkpoints to block several villages and the main area where protests were taking place in tents.
**Police Remove Tents**
On Sunday, police removed the tents, claiming the area was not safe due to high water levels in the River Rioni. They said it could flood the camp. This decision came after a young man disappeared from the tent area on Saturday while going into the river. His search continues, but his status is unknown.
**Protesters Blocked**
The police also destroyed the camp built by protesters in the Rioni valley. After that, they blocked off land belonging to Lali Efremidze, one of the guardians. No explanation was given for why the area was damaged.
**Road Blockade**
In response, protesters blocked a road in Gumati village, near Kutaisi, to prevent trucks from continuing construction work by Enka at Namokhvani.
**Protesters Want Safe Entry**
Protesters want safe access to Namokhvani Village so they can set up tents and continue their peaceful protest.
**Tension Increases**
On Monday, protesters attempted to break through police lines in Gumati. In response, police numbers doubled.
**Guardians Question Police**
Varlam Goletiani asked the police why the blockade was in place. The police officer explained that checkpoints were necessary for safety and search operations. However, Goletiani disputed this claim, saying the camp territory was not related to the river or flooding risks.
**171 Nights of Protest**
Protesters are still occupying a tent near the checkpoint in Gumati. Tonight marks the 171st night since the protest began.
