Two Georgian citizens were taken against their will by Russian forces near the village of Tsnelisi, close to Tskhinvali. This was reported on November 12 by Georgia’s State Security Service.
The Georgian government immediately took action to free the detainees. They also informed international partners about the incident through the Geneva International Discussions.
The Georgian State Security Service said that Russia is responsible for all negative actions in occupied areas of Georgia and along the border.
This incident happened just a few days ago, but two Georgians were recently released after being detained by Russian forces near Tskhinvali.
