**Opposition Can Enter Parliament, Says MP**
The opposition is being given a place in the new Parliament. According to Guram Macharashvili, a member of the majority party, this means they can set up their own alternative parliament and hold meetings.
Macharashvili thinks the opposition is in a difficult situation. He says that if we believe what the opposition, their experts, and non–governmental organizations say, then Giorgi Vashadze should be Prime Minister and the opposition should have control of Parliament.
The opposition’s deputies are not sure about joining the new Parliament. Macharashvili thinks there is no agreement among them on this issue. He appeals to the opposition to either join the Parliament or formally request that their powers as MPs be terminated if they don’t want to be part of it.
Macharashvili wonders why the opposition can’t wait until the first session of Parliament, which will take place soon. He suggests that if the opposition doesn’t want to be part of Parliament, they should say so before the first session and leave a formal request for their powers to be ended.
