One of Ukraine’s largest charitable foundations, Come Back Alive, reported a 15% drop in donations this year. This is based on its reports on the receipt of donations.
**Reactive Post Sees 40% Decline**
Another non-governmental organization, Reactive Post, told Bloomberg that its contributions have decreased by over 40% compared to the same period in 2023.
**Economic Challenges Cited as Reason**
The head of Come Back Alive, Taras Chmut, expressed concern over this year’s fundraising efforts. He said that economic challenges and hardships brought on by power outages are likely reasons for the downturn.
**New Initiative Announced**
President Volodymyr Zelensky recently announced a new eSupport initiative scheduled to launch on December 1. Under this program, each Ukrainian will receive Hr 1,000 ($24) in aid, which can be used for specific expenses.
