Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has warned that the UK might need to send troops to Ukraine. This is in case US support or military funding for Ukraine decreases.
Johnson emphasized the importance of British support for Ukraine. He said that if Russia becomes too strong, it will harm everyone’s security. He also talked about how some Republicans in the US have different views on Ukraine. Some think they should not help Ukraine, which Johnson thinks is a bad idea.
However, Johnson praised the past support from former US President Donald Trump. He said that without US Javelin missiles, the battle for Kyiv might have been very difficult for Ukraine.
Johnson was strongly in favor of helping Ukraine when he was Prime Minister. He has continued to urge Western countries to give military aid to Ukrainians even after leaving office last year.
