Drones Attack Oil Storage Facility in Russia’s Penza Region
On the night of November 13, drones attacked a Rosrezerv oil storage facility in Russia’s Penza region. According to local residents and footage from the scene, one tank was damaged.
Regional governor Oleg Melnichenko confirmed that three drones crashed in a nearby forest without causing any casualties. Video shows a damaged tank at the “Kombinat Utyos Rosrezerv” oil depot near the village of Montazhne.
The facility is used for storing and stockpiling oil and its refined products. The distance from the site to the Ukrainian border is over 700 kilometers. This attack comes as part of a recent surge in drone strikes against Russian regions bordering Ukraine.
In fact, just the night before, unknown drones attacked an oil depot in Russia’s Belgorod region, causing a fire. Similar attacks have been reported in other Russian regions bordering Ukraine in recent months.
