**Vaccination Opens to All Adults**
Citizens of Georgia who are 18 and older can now get vaccinated against COVID-19 with the Chinese-made Sinopharm vaccine. This was announced by Ekaterine Tikaradze, the country’s Minister of Health.
**Why Sinopharm?**
Tikaradze said that there is proof that Sinopharm is a safe vaccine for people between 18 and 60 years old. She also mentioned that this decision follows international guidelines. The portal to register for vaccination with Sinopharm will be open from 20:00 today.
**When Will Vaccination Start?**
The immunization process with Sinopharm will begin on May 4. This is the third vaccine available in Georgia, after AstraZeneca and Pfizer. Vaccination started on March 15.
**How Many People Are Already Vaccinated?**
As of April 27, a total of 40,095 people have received at least one jab, while 3,622 are fully vaccinated.
