**Prime Minister: Parliament Does Not Need Opposition’s Approval**
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, says the parliament does not need the approval of the opposition. He believes that if any parliament in the world needs the opposition’s approval, democracy would not be able to function.
“We think that in the end, everyone will enter the parliament,” said the Prime Minister. “They are so destructive and radical in their nature that their participation in parliamentary life will be counterproductive.”
**Opposition Has No Resources**
The Prime Minister also stated that the opposition today does not have the resources they had four years ago. He claimed that they used up all their bullets then, and now they have no effect on the current situation.
“Back then, they forced us to enter into negotiations and sign a wrong agreement,” he said. “It was an agreement that provided for the withdrawal of the country from the constitutional framework.”
**Parliament Has Popular Legitimacy**
The Prime Minister emphasized that the parliament has already received popular legitimacy. He mentioned that 1 million 120 thousand people supported the ruling team, and a total of 2 million 100 thousand people came out to support various political parties.
“The main thing is one thing – the parliament does not need the legitimacy of the opposition, the parliament needs the popular legitimacy,” he said. “They will come or not, it is up to them.”
