**Zelensky Warns of Consequences After Scholz’s Call with Putin**
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed concerns over a recent call between German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The call, which took place for the first time in nearly two years, saw Scholz condemn Russia‘s war in Ukraine and urge Putin to withdraw his troops.
However, Zelensky was not pleased with the development. In an evening address on November 15, he warned that Scholz’s call had opened a “Pandora’s box,” potentially leading to more conversations and calls between other world leaders and Putin.
**Zelensky Criticizes Any Negotiations with Russia**
Zelensky criticized any negotiations that could ease Russia’s isolation without meaningful outcomes. He argued that it was essential for Putin to loosen his country’s isolation and conduct ordinary negotiations that would not lead to anything, just like he had been doing for decades.
“This has allowed Russia to change nothing in its politics, to do nothing in essence, and this is exactly what led to this war,” Zelensky said.
**Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry Also Expresses Concerns**
Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry also expressed concerns over the Scholz-Putin call. The ministry stated that such lengthy conversations had been a tool Putin used for over 20 years to ease his international isolation, providing him with hope.
“Even if the German chancellor did not express any positions contradicting Ukraine’s stance, conversations with the Russian dictator do not add value in achieving a just peace,” the ministry said in a statement.
**No “Minsk-3″ Agreement**
Zelensky also reiterated that there would be no “Minsk-3” agreement, referencing the Minsk agreements of 2014 and 2015. The proposed agreement aimed to create autonomous zones in Russian-occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts but excluded mention of occupied Crimea.
