**Israeli Air Strike Kills 15 Emergency Workers in Lebanon**
An Israeli air strike on a center for emergency response in north-eastern Lebanon killed at least 15 emergency workers. This is one of the deadliest attacks involving Lebanese rescuers during the war.
The strike destroyed a building belonging to the civil defense agency, which is linked to the Lebanese government and not affiliated with Hezbollah. The victims included Bilal Raad, the chief of civil defence in the city.
**Hezbollah Not Affiliated**
The Israeli military did not comment on the attack. The Lebanese Health Ministry described it as “barbaric”. The Lebanese Civil Defence provides emergency services, including search and rescue and firefighting.
**Wider Conflict**
Another Israeli air strike destroyed a civil defense center in Arab Salim, killing six people, including five paramedics. Since September’s escalation of conflict with Hezbollah, Israeli air strikes have killed at least 192 emergency workers and healthcare providers across Lebanon.
**Renewed International Efforts**
The Israeli military has intensified its air campaign in recent days, targeting infrastructure associated with Hezbollah. The group is severely weakened after two months of intense airstrikes, but continues to attack Israel daily.
