**Election Chairman Reacts to Recent Provocation**
The Central Election Commission has been at the center of controversy in recent days. Chairman Giorgi Kalandarishvili spoke out after a session was disrupted by a representative of the “Unity – National Movement”.
Kalandarishvili said that the party involved is trying to create the perception that the elections were rigged, but they have no evidence of this. Instead, he claimed, they are using personal attacks and pressure on commission members.
**Provocative Behavior**
The controversy began when Davit Kirtadze, a representative of “Unity – National Movement”, made a statement about Kalandarishvili. This led to Kirtadze being disconnected from the microphone due to running out of time.
Kalandarishvili described Kirtadze as an “excellent provocateur” and said that his actions were a clear example of trying to create a negative perception of the elections.
**International Observers Praise Elections**
Despite the controversy, international observers have praised the elections in Georgia. Organizations such as OSCE/ODIHR, NDI, IRI, ENEMO, EPD, and others have given positive evaluations of the process.
Kalandarishvili pointed out that if there were any issues with the elections, the commission would have taken action immediately. However, he said that no tangible circumstances have been found to indicate manipulation.
