**Russian Attack on Odesa Leaves 1 Dead and 10 Injured**
Russia’s latest attack on the Ukrainian city of Odesa has caused significant destruction and loss of life. On November 15, a massive assault by Russian forces killed one woman and injured ten civilians, including a child.
The attack damaged nine multi-story residential buildings, leaving hundreds of apartments without windows. Roofs also collapsed in several areas. The main heating pipeline was destroyed, affecting over 40,000 residents who were plunged into cold as winter approaches.
**Eyewitness Accounts**
Residents of Odesa shared their traumatic experiences after the attack. An elderly woman said she barely escaped her burning home on the third floor. Another resident recounted hearing a distant rumble before an explosion occurred, forcing her family to flee.
A young woman expressed concern for neighbors who lived on the same floor as her. Unfortunately, one cat did not survive the ordeal. A house where a 35-year-old woman was killed is now a pile of rubble and damaged belongings.
**Destruction and Consequences**
The attack also damaged the apartment of Hanna Shelest, director of security programs at the Ukrainian Prism Foreign Policy Council. Although rescuers stopped the fire right at her door, her family members were unharmed. Fires broke out in Odesa after the assault, leaving 220 residential buildings without heating.
Seven kindergartens, four schools, and a maternity hospital were also affected. Nine multi-story buildings, educational institutions, service station premises, a church, commercial properties, private garages, and more than 40 vehicles were damaged. The Russians targeted Odesa’s port infrastructure as well.
