Incident at the CEC
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has called a recent incident “serious”. This refers to a man named Davit Kirtadze who poured paint on the chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Giorgi Kalandarishvili.
Many opposition politicians and activists were upset by this act. They made angry comments about it in the media. The Prime Minister pointed out that this is not the first time something like this has happened to people who are against him. He said that investigations will be carried out, but some people have different rules for others.
The Prime Minister believes that this incident shows what the opposition is really like. He thinks that people should wait and see how things are officially described before making a judgment.
