Opposition Camp Out Near in Tbilisi

Last night, politicians spent time with protesters who set up tents near the main building of . The area is located busy street and has caused traffic delays.

More than 20 tents were pitched in the area, blocking roads in several directions. Melikishvili Avenue, Varaziskhevi Street, , and Chavchavadze Avenue are among the streets that have been affected.

The organizers of the protest also lit fires in some areas and blocked a section of Chavchavadze Avenue using trash cans and . The protesters were given food and drinks by the organizers keep them warm throughout the night.

Leaders of the opposition called for a 24-hour protest, saying they would stay on the ground until at 8pm. They have also joined forces with participants from the “Return the Voice” action on Rustaveli Avenue.
