**UAE Celebrates 50th Anniversary**
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) marks a major milestone on December 2, as it celebrates the 50th anniversary of its founding. This occasion is a chance to reflect on the country’s journey and achievements.
**Early Years and Founding Principles**
Since its establishment, the UAE has been guided by principles of security, peace, and sustainable development. The late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan laid down these values, which have been continued by his successors, including President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The UAE has a strong track record of attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) through favorable tax regulations and developed infrastructure. The country’s economic sectors are open to 100% foreign ownership, making it an attractive destination for investors.
**Humanitarian Diplomacy**
Over the past 50 years, the UAE has worked tirelessly to reduce poverty and help needy countries and societies worldwide. The country’s humanitarian efforts have resulted in a significant increase in foreign aid, with over 187 times more aid provided than at its inception.
**Youth Empowerment and Post-Pandemic Diplomacy**
The UAE believes in the importance of youth and has established a Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) Youth Council. The council works to enhance the lives of young people, promote good mental health, and develop skills for future diplomats.
