**Opposition Parties Accused of Trying to Sabotage Georgia**
The mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, says that four opposition parties secretly sent a letter to the foreign ministers of EU countries. The letter asks them to declare the recent parliamentary elections illegitimate and to stop all relations with Georgia.
According to Kaladze, this is a radical group that wants to destroy Georgian statehood. He said their politics are filled with hatred and anti-state actions, and they want to betray the country and its people.
The opposition parties mentioned by Kaladze are “National Movement”, “Akhali “, “Lelo “, and “Gakharia for Georgia”. They are accused of demanding that the EU:
* Postpone meetings between Georgia and the EU
* Stop all high-level talks with Georgia
* Freeze cooperation mechanisms
* Stop giving Georgia 120 million euros a year in financial aid
Instead, they want to give this money to non-governmental organizations and independent media. They also want the EU to create a system for directly financing civil organizations.
Kaladze said that this is a radical group of traitors who are fighting against Georgian statehood. He promised that the government will not allow their plans to succeed.
The mayor said that the government has the support of most Georgians and is strong enough to protect the country from unrest and maintain peace.
