Nika Melia, on the idea of a “People’s Parliament”, says: I’m not familiar with this initiative. However, any initiative which will serve to overthrow a regime will be considered.  

**Opposition Group Open to Ideas to Bring Down Government**

The opposition group “Coalition for Change” is looking at new ways to bring down the current government in Georgia. Nika Melia, a leader of the group, said they are open to any idea that will help them defeat the regime.

According to Melia, the main goal now is to make the government collapse. He mentioned that any initiative that is rational and focused on this goal will be considered by his group.

This comes after another opposition figure, Mamuka Khazaradze, proposed a 5-point plan to achieve new elections in Georgia. The plan includes setting up a “People’s Parliament” made up of opposition lawmakers and inviting the president to lead it.

Melia said that any idea, including this one, will be looked at if it can help bring down the current government. He specifically mentioned that he is not familiar with Khazaradze’s initiative, but any plan that will serve to overthrow the regime will be considered by his group.
