On November 19, police in Georgia violently dispersed protesters who were demonstrating against disputed elections. The protests had been going on for two days.

Videos showed police entering the university garden before dispersing the protesters. Some protesters were physically assaulted and at least 11 people were arrested. One of those arrested was a cameraman from Mtavari TV, who was later released.
