Russian Attacks in Ukraine Kill and Injure Many
Over the past day, Russian attacks across Ukraine have killed at least 25 people and injured at least 79. This includes children and police officers among the casualties.
In Odesa, a port city, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on November 18. At least 10 people were killed and 55 were injured in this attack. Among those who lost their lives were seven police officers, a medic, and two civilian residents. Fourteen law enforcement officers and four children were among the injured.
A drone attack in Sumy Oblast late on November 18 also caused significant harm. At least 10 people were killed, including a child, and 13 others were injured, three of whom were children. The drone targeted a dormitory building at an educational institution in Hlukhiv town.
In other areas, Russian attacks injured a man and woman in Kharkiv Oblast’s Hoptivka village. In Donetsk Oblast, three people were killed and seven more were hurt. Two people lost their lives and two others were injured in Kherson Oblast, where dozens of villages and the city of Kherson came under attack.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that they shot down 51 Russian drones across nine regions using air defenses. They also claimed to have successfully intercepted 30 drones through active countermeasures.
