**MP Threatens to Use Force Against Opposition Leaders**
Mamuka Mdinaradze, a leader of the ruling party “Georgian Dream”, made some provocative comments about the opposition. He said that if it’s an acceptable form to pour paint on someone, like what happened to the Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Giorgi Kalandarishvili, then he will take similar action against opposition leaders.
Mdinaradze was responding to a question about why foreigners and some media outlets were criticizing the government for not taking stronger action against those who poured paint on Kalandarishvili. Mdinaradze said that many people are calling him every day, asking him to protest and demanding their rights be protected. However, he threatened to arrest and detain these individuals if they don’t calm down.
The MP also made some threatening comments about opposition leaders, saying that if it’s an acceptable form to pour paint on someone, then the assets of “Georgian Dream” should be attacked with black paint or ink. He claimed that many supporters of his party are eager to do just that.
Mdinaradze also suggested that there may be a crime committed in the case of Kalandarishvili being splashed with paint, but he downplayed its seriousness, saying that if the victim’s eye is damaged, then they should be grateful it wasn’t worse.
