**UK Supports Ukraine Despite Russian Nuclear Threats**
The UK will continue to support Ukraine despite Russia’s recent threats about using nuclear weapons. This was promised by Sir Keir Starmer, the leader of the opposition, at a meeting with world leaders in Brazil.
Russia has been talking loudly about its nuclear capabilities and says it may use them if there are attacks from countries backed by the US. However, the UK is not changing its support for Ukraine. In fact, Sir Keir said that the UK will make sure Ukraine has everything it needs to fight the war “for as long as it needs”.
**Ukraine Uses Longer-Range Missiles**
For the first time, Ukraine used longer-range missiles supplied by the US against Russian territory. This happened just a day after the US gave its permission for such attacks.
**No Change in UK Support**
Sir Keir said that Russia’s threats would not change the UK’s support for Ukraine. He told journalists at the meeting that there is “irresponsible rhetoric” coming from Russia, but this will not stop the UK from helping Ukraine.
The UK has already supplied Ukraine with missiles and defense equipment. Sir Keir noted that President Putin was absent from the meeting again, saying he was the “author of his own exile”.
