**Coalition Countries Pledge Funding for Ukraine’s Program**

On November 19, the government reported that several countries have promised give more money to Ukraine with drones. These are unmanned aircraft that can strike and gather information.

The countries contributing to the fund are:

* The UK is giving $9.5 million
* Germany has donated $12. million
* Canada and Luxembourg each gave $3.8 million

In total, over $85 million has been raised so far. The UK contributed about $19 million of this amount.

**Why This Funding Matters**

The coalition was started by and the UK on February 17, 2024. Its goal is to help Ukraine’s have more drones, also known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Seven other countries have joined this alliance, including Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Sweden, , and Denmark.

**Ukraine Aims for More Drone Production**

Ukraine wants to produce at least 1 million drones next year. This will help them have more of these unmanned aircraft in their military.
