**Russia Behind Bomb Threats in Czechia and Slovakia**
The director of the Czech Security Information Service, Michal Koudelka, said that Russia was behind a series of bomb threats made against schools in Czechia and Slovakia.
In September, hundreds of schools in both countries received emails with bomb threats. As a result, many schools were closed. But police found no evidence of explosives or devices near the schools.
Koudelka told lawmakers that there is “a clearly visible Russian trace” behind the threats. This follows reports from intelligence agencies across Europe that Russia is planning violent acts in response to countries supporting Ukraine.
**Russia’s History of Disruptive Behavior**
This is not the first time Russia has used its cyber capabilities to target civilian infrastructure in Europe. Prague has been a frequent target since 2023. Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky also said that Moscow is responsible for most foreign influence operations worldwide.
In response to a deadly warehouse blast in 2014, Czech authorities expelled 18 Russian diplomats.
**More Suspected Sabotage by Russia**
Just days ago, several Telecom cables were cut at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. This has raised suspicions of Russian sabotage. The cables connect two Nordic countries with Germany and Lithuania.
