Opposition’s Work on Melikishvili Avenue is Over
The opposition has finished its activities on Melikishvili Avenue. Majority MP Guram Macharashvili talked about this.
According to him, the end of the opposition was expected and they can no longer file a lawsuit. They sent a message to their supporters saying that now it’s time to rest.
Macharashvili said that the opposition deceived its voters. They told people they wouldn’t enter parliament, but now they are asking for 61 statements to terminate authority. This is what the opposition wants from its own voters!
The MP also said that this isn’t a disbandment of the rally because Giorgi Vashadze was talking to journalists and cameramen while one or two people were standing behind him.
When leaders left, no one broke up the rally. Macharashvili thinks that these people think someone believes them. But nobody will believe them because they hate people.
The leader of “Coalition for Change”, Zura Japaridze, said that the opposition will “replan” its next steps and introduce an action plan to the public soon.
The police gave permission to block Melikishvili Avenue, so now they need to think of another location or form of protest.
