Estonia’ Foreign Urges Europe to Send Troops to

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna wants European countries to be ready to send forces to Ukraine as part of a peace deal. He believes this is necessary to prevent from starting another war.

Tsahkna says that the best way for Ukraine to feel safe is to join NATO, but this would be hard to do without the support of the United States. Until then, European countries should send troops to help protect Ukraine’s sovereignty.

Some countries, like and the UK, have already been helping Ukraine with military aid. They may play a big role any security guarantees that Europe offers.

Estonia wants other European countries to increase their defense spending and work together to keep Russia from being too aggressive. Tsahkna says that money is not a problem for Europe – it has plenty of resources to spend defense.

The situation with Ukraine and Russia is getting more complicated. Ukrainian forces have been using drones to ammunition depots, causing problems for Russia’s military.
