**Russian Troops Kill Two Ukrainian Prisoners of War**
Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed by Russian troops in Donetsk Oblast’s Pokrovsk District. This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office on November 20.
According to prosecutors, Russian forces stormed a Ukrainian fortification near the village of Novodmytrivka on November 10. The two captured soldiers were then forced to strip naked and led through a forest plantation at gunpoint. They were later shot dead.
The prosecutor’s office is also investigating whether three other Ukrainian prisoners were killed by Russian soldiers. This is not an isolated incident, as reports of murdered, tortured, or ill-treated Ukrainian prisoners have been increasing in recent months.
**Widespread Abuse of Ukrainian Prisoners**
Since 2022, at least 124 Ukrainian prisoners of war have been executed by Russian forces. Additionally, 177 Ukrainian prisoners have died in Russian captivity. Executing prisoners of war is a serious violation of the Geneva Conventions.
