**President of Georgia Congratulates New EU Leaders**
The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, has sent congratulations to two new European Union leaders.
She praised Kaja Kallas for being chosen as the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. The president wrote on social media platform X that Kallas would bring “fresh perspectives and strong leadership” to her new role.
**A Friend of Georgia**
Zurabishvili also highlighted Kallas’s friendship with Georgia and her support for the country’s goal of joining the European Union. She called Kallas a “dear friend” who would inspire in these challenging times.
**Congratulations to Marta Kos**
The President of Georgia also congratulated Marta Kos on being appointed as European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement. This role is crucial, Zurabishvili said, as it will help determine the future of the European Union. She wished Kos success and expressed hope that Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia would soon become part of the EU family.
