Lawyer Eka Beselia Visits Prosecutor‘s Office for Questioning
Lawyer Eka Beselia went to the General Prosecutor’s Office for questioning. She was asked about the case of possible election falsification in the recent parliamentary elections.
Before entering the office, Beselia told the media that she has concrete evidence of possible election fraud. “There are several facts,” she said, “depending on the districts and time, how election procedures were violated on the day of the elections.”
Beselia mentioned that many people believe the results of the parliamentary elections were falsified. These include citizens, the President, local observers, international observers, and herself.
She is willing to share her information with the investigation. Beselia chose to go directly to the prosecutor’s office instead of a magistrate judge. She believes this is in the interest of fairness and justice.
Beselia mentioned several facts related to election violations. These include using “carousels”, ID cards, and violating the rule of secrecy. Some of these facts have direct eyewitness sources.
Beselia said she will be representing herself in a constitutional lawsuit against the President over election issues.
