Russia Warned US Before Missile Attack on Dnipro
The United States received a brief warning about the Russian missile strike on the city of Dnipro. This was confirmed by a U.S. administration official.
The official said that Russia sent a warning 30 minutes before launching the missiles. The Kremlin also confirmed this information.
Russia had previously warned Ukraine and its allies that it might test an intermediate-range ballistic missile called “Oreshnik.” This was not the first time Russia used close and short-range missiles in attacks on Ukraine.
The attack targeted the city of Dnipro with several types of missiles, according to Ukraine’s Air Force. President Putin said the attack was a test of Russia’s newest missile.
This is different from other missiles that Russia has used before, as intermediate-range ballistic missiles can carry nuclear payloads and hit targets at longer ranges.
